It does not only shorten the brew time but also allows the ground coffee beans to develop full flavor, including both higher strength and fresh aroma by ensuring optimal extraction.

2 Touchscreen Control Panel

The Jura A1 features a touch screen panel that can be used to control the machine.

Instead of written options for various functions, it has illuminated icons, which make it easier to navigate through the available options. Using the touch screen, you can permanently program three different cup sizes, including the amount of water and the amount of coffee you would need in each cup. Additionally, you can also program and adjust two coffee strength levels: regular and strong.

Apart from this, all the options for maintenance are also accessible through the touch panel. It has symbols for every maintenance feature of the machine, and these symbols light up whenever an issue arises.

The first step is to set up the water filter. If the hardness of the water used in the machine is around 10° dH, you should install the CLEARYL Blue filter cartridge, which will ensure a longer lifespan of your coffee machine.

Once it is done, you can move over to fill the coffee bean container with untreated, roasted coffee beans.

After filling it, make sure to place the aroma preservation lid on the top as it ensures that the beans stay fresh and aromatic for a longer period of time.

After the water filter is set up, and the coffee bean container is filled, you have to fill the water tank and place it securely at the back of the machine.

If the water tank symbol on the screen is still illuminated after putting it back at its place, it means that it is not correctly placed. Try adjusting it until the water tank symbol goes off.

You can adjust the preset water quantity, the coffee quantity, and the coffee strength from the control panel.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The Jura A1 has a three-step integrated cleaning mechanism, which will alert you when it is time to clean the machine. However, it is not necessary to wait for a prompt to start cleaning the machine, as you are free to do this manually whenever you want to.
